Da-iCE has announced that they will digitally release their new song "Uraraka" on Friday, October 16th.
Furthermore, it was announced that this song will be used as the theme song for Fuji Television Network Thursday 10pm drama "Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori" (sequel).
This song was written and composed by Sota Hanamura, who has worked on Da-iCE 's representative songs such as "CITRUS," "I wonder," and "Nonfictions," and Ryuki Koike, a member of GENIC who is also well-regarded for his songwriting activities, including providing songs for =LOVE, which is produced by Rino Sashihara.
This middle ballad, delivered with Da-iCE 's overwhelming vocal talent, conveys a straightforward message: "No matter how much times change, the simple impulse to care for others remains unchanged from 100 years ago, and the unwavering wish that this feeling will continue for another 100 years also remains unchanged."
Fuji Television Network 's Thursday 10pm drama "Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori" is a live-action adaptation of the popular manga by Nishika Hachi (serialized in Kodansha's "Comic DAYS"), which has sold over 3 million copies.
The sequel will begin airing on Thursday, October 15th at 10 PM. Set in 1937, it is a new heartwarming Showa-era romantic comedy depicting the innocent love story of the protagonist, Natsumi Ebata (Kyoko Yoshine), and her husband, Takimasa (Kyoya Honda), who works for the Imperial Japanese Navy.
And today, a special video featuring Da-iCE 's new song "Uraraka" as the theme song was also released. Along with footage from the sequel, the lyrics, which express "unwavering love that remains unchanged even in a changing era," are perfectly synchronized, creating a video that heightens anticipation for the drama itself.

◆ Da-iCE (Sota Hanamura) Comment
Q. What did you say when you received the offer to sing the theme song for this film?"The theme song for the previous season was truly wonderful, and if someone asked me, 'What's your favorite song of 2025?', I would answer 'Muchu' (Obsessed). So, when I was given the opportunity to work on the music for the sequel to this drama, I wanted to create a song that somehow evoked the previous season, in terms of tone, phrasing, or something similar. To be honest, I really wanted to be involved in this project, so I created more than 10 songs. I was so happy that they chose this song, which gives me the most feeling of happiness. Also, the first TV station I ever learned about as a child was Fuji Television Network. It's a great honor and a great sense of responsibility to have Da-iCE 's first theme song for Fuji Television Network, which is synonymous with dramas."
Q. About the theme song "Uraraka""We wanted to deliver the wonderful baton we received from the previous work while incorporating Da-iCE 's unique style, so we focused on creating a song that would make BE:FIRST fans feel glad that Da-iCE was the one to carry on the legacy, while still making use of the characteristics of our twin vocals. The song has a lot of key changes, so it's a little difficult to play and sing, but I think the melody line will shine even with just a piano or guitar. Also, this time, the drama production team requested that we make it a 'wedding song.' While the track has a wedding feel to it, the lyrics are not too focused on weddings, so I wrote them so that they can apply to couples who have just started dating, are about to get married, have been married for several years, and even to best friends and family."
Q. A message to our viewers"I hope this song will be loved by everyone, just like this drama. I put my heart and soul into writing it, so please enjoy it along with the drama."
